Founders Oasis
Wilderness Rite of Passage Retreats for Founders
Stepping Away to See Clearly
Building a company requires sustained intensity.
Founders spend years navigating uncertainty, managing teams, raising capital, solving crises, and making decisions that shape the future of their organizations.
Over time, the pace of this work can make it difficult to step back and see clearly.
Yet many of the most important leadership shifts happen when a founder creates space—away from daily noise—to reflect on the deeper questions of leadership, direction, and purpose.
Founders Oasis was created to provide that space.
A leadership Rite of Passage enhanced by Nature
Throughout history, leaders have stepped into wilderness environments during periods of transition.
Removed from the normal rhythms of life, these environments create the conditions for reflection, clarity, and meaningful personal change.
Founders Oasis brings this tradition into the modern entrepreneurial journey.
These retreats are designed for founders who are navigating significant leadership thresholds—moments where the next stage of the company requires a deeper evolution in the leader.
Participants step away from their companies for several days in carefully chosen wilderness environments, where the pace slows and attention can shift from constant execution to deeper reflection.
This setting creates the conditions for founders to reconnect with their own judgment, intuition, and long-term vision.
The Work
Founders Oasis retreats combine guided reflection, leadership dialogue, time in nature, and facilitated conversations designed to help founders integrate the inner and outer dimensions of leadership.
Participants explore questions such as:
What kind of leader does my company need me to become?
What patterns in my leadership are helping—or limiting—the company’s growth?
What decisions or transitions am I currently avoiding?
What would it look like to lead with greater clarity, presence, and courage?
What kind of culture and legacy am I ultimately building?
The environment encourages both individual reflection and meaningful dialogue with other founders who are navigating similar leadership challenges.
Many participants describe the experience as a rare opportunity to step fully outside the operational demands of their company and reconnect with the deeper purpose behind their work.
The Environment
Founders Oasis retreats take place in beautiful wilderness environments, including locations in the Black Forest of Germany and other carefully selected natural settings.
Days typically include time for:
guided leadership conversations
solo reflection and journaling
hiking and time in nature
small group dialogue among founders
structured leadership exercises and frameworks
The experience is intentionally designed to balance solitude, conversation, and physical movement in nature.
Invitation Only
Founders Oasis retreats are invitation-only experiences.
Participants are typically founders who have previously engaged in coaching, leadership development, or other deep capacity work and are ready to explore leadership at a deeper level.
Because of the nature of the work, retreats are intentionally small and carefully curated.=
The goal is to create an environment of trust, openness, and meaningful conversation among founders who are committed to their continued growth as leaders.
The Founder → CEO Journey
For many participants, Founders Oasis becomes a pivotal moment in the larger journey from founder to CEO.
Stepping away from the company—even briefly—often allows founders to return with renewed clarity about their leadership, their organization, and the direction they want to create in the years ahead
Participation
Founders Oasis retreats are offered periodically throughout the year.
Participation typically follows engagement in other programs within the Founder → CEO leadership journey, including the Founder Threshold Workshop, the Founder Community, or the Founder → CEO Cohort.
