The founder threshold lab

A community oasis for early-stage Founders in the arena

The early years of building a company can be exhilarating—and deeply isolating.

Many founders spend most of their time solving problems alone: navigating uncertainty, making difficult decisions, and carrying responsibility for a team, customers, and the future of the company.

While every startup journey is unique, the leadership challenges founders face are often surprisingly similar.

The is a small, curated community of practice for early stage founders who can step out of isolation and engage in thoughtful conversations about the real work of building a company.

navigating the Founder → CEO Journey together

From the very beginning of a company, founders are already on the path toward becoming CEOs.

But this transition rarely happens automatically.

It requires reflection, honest feedback, and exposure to other founders who are navigating similar challenges.

The Early Stage Founder Community is designed to support founders in the early phases of this journey—providing a space to explore leadership questions, share experiences, and develop the habits of leadership that will matter as their companies grow.

The group is intentionally limited to 20 founders at a time to allow for meaningful dialogue and real relationships.

What Happens in the Community

The group meets twice per month online for guided conversations and collaborative learning.

Sessions are designed to help founders step back from the daily pressure of building a company and reflect on the leadership required to grow it.

Typical discussions may include:

  • navigating uncertainty and early-stage decision making

  • founder mindset and resilience

  • communicating vision and building early teams

  • balancing speed with thoughtful leadership

  • learning from mistakes and setbacks

  • building sustainable founder habits

  • exploring the early stages of the Founder → CEO transition

You are the content. The emphasis is not on lectures or rigid curriculum, but on thoughtful dialogue among founders who are actively building companies.

Why a Small Group Matters

Startup communities are often large and impersonal.

This group is intentionally kept small so founders can build trust, speak honestly, and develop real relationships with peers who understand the journey.

Over time, many founders find that this kind of consistent dialogue becomes one of the most valuable parts of their leadership development.

Who This Is For

This community is designed for founders who:

  • are in the early stages of building a company

  • want thoughtful conversations about leadership and entrepreneurship

  • value learning from other founders

  • are interested in developing themselves as leaders as their companies grow

  • not ready for the intensive cohort or private coaching pathways
